Third Pregnancy Blog

This week has been a rough one. Up days and down days.

Found out my due date 7th July! Seems forever away.

This is the picture where the babys waving. You can JUST see their hand?

How far along: 10 weeks 6days
Baby size:  A large lime
Total weight gain/loss: Stayed the same
Sleep: On and off...
Movement: Moves loads and the baby waved on the scan, can't feel it yet but I will from 16weeks+
Food cravings/aversions: Loving pickles, gherkins, sour sweets, fruit, milk, yogurts, plain crisps, cheese. To much sugar makes me feel very sick.

Pregnancy symptoms: Sickness, nausea and this week just to be a further pain, a cold.

What I miss: Caffeine! Just a normal cup of tea or coffee.

What I'm looking forward to: The next scan and Christmas!
Best moment of this week/ Milestones: Dating scan on Thursday! Saw baby, waving and moving. Made it all very real, when I saw him/her move it’s like my heart was in my mouth. Few tears, but because I was so happy to finally see the baby! Telling friends and family

Pregnancy moments with the hubby: Deryck being so happy to see the baby, talking to it and just sharing that time with him, as our new little family.

10 week blog

How far along: 10 week 4 days (this could be wrong, our scan in a few weeks will confirm)

Baby size: A small pear

Total weight gain/loss: Stayed the same

Sleep: Good! I love my sleep.

Movement: Not yet!

Food cravings/aversions: now I’m heading into my second trimester my craving seem to have shifted. From not being able to stand sugar in my tea or anything sweet at all to loving it. Sour sweets, ice lollies, chocolate, jelly sweets, I love them all. Things that crunch and crisp in my mouth I love crisps, ice, toast etc.  Not healthy no, but I’ve been so poorly keeping anything down that anything is good. A hospital visit on Wednesday evening showed I had ketones in my urine, which basically meant my body had gone into starvation mode and started breaking down the fat in my body to survive. Been having a lot of pasta and fruit to since getting better.

Pregnancy symptoms: Just awful sickness, shortness of breath, tiredness etc. All boring really.

What I miss: Caffeine! Just a normal cup of tea or coffee.

What I'm looking forward to: The scan and Christmas

Milestones: At week 10 the baby turns from an embryo into a foetus

Best moment of this week: having the midwife come over, after striking and other women going into labour. Finally got to see her yesterday and she was very reassuring and wonderful.

Pregnancy moments with the hubby: He’s been a star, working full time and looking after me when I’m very very sick.
